Visceral Globalism

Guests at a bay-side restaurant called "The Ramp" are taken on a small dingy craft, 3 at a time, to pull up next to jumbo-freighters and just touch them with their hands.

The motion of the water, and the huge, hard, cold mass of steel just inches away creates for participants a very visceral and vulnerable encounter with global trade.

This sublime encounter is frightening and beautiful at the same time.
